Hot dawg! I've always wanted an all expense paid trip to Fantastic Sheboygan home of the Johnsonville Brat Days!

 

I'm going! Leaving tomorrow morning. Heard there's already 200 + vans. We will be in an old van I call the Krusty Astro. Since our HHR is not a panel I have to take the van. Hope to see some HHR people out there. Sounds like a great time.

 

Been there.... done that....

A few years back I designed a few things for Kohler and Johnsonville and spent some time up there. There is nothing but pig farms and the worlds largest cast iron forge and a really nice resort owned by Kohler...

Funny story about Johnsonvile... When up there for the first time, Jonhsonville catered a huge meal for us, and get this not a single Brat! Not one!... It was mostly vegan style foods... When my production manager said something to the lady in charge... she stated that the last thing they wanted to see was more meat...... Really they were feeding a bunch event design people who work 18-20 hour days rabbit food! Someone then spotted the owner of the company... A down home country boy, who at 1pm was already half-lit, in a pair of old old old boots, jeans, shirt... They showed him "the spread" and within an hour we had a semi-truck BBQ grill and every type of sausage you could imangine! made those 18 hour days a little better.

 

Really wish I was going! Next year 2013 they are going to be back in Ohio! at Old Washington Fairgrounds (Cambridge) Get plenty of pictures...john
