Been watching this thread from afar, wondering why the "BIG" RUN 07 now seems to be a Mid- something or other thing . Shouldn`t this be a country wide discussion, in the General Forum section, not in ONE region?

Hello everyone
I think we have gotten away from what I heard everyone talk about on July 22nd at the Mid-Central region very 1st Run. We all talked about Having fun and getting together and spending time with one another and just enjoying everyones friendship. What Happen. To me That was a special day for me and the Z girls, we met a great bunch of people. Does any one know what happen. Is something wrong in this region or is it just me.

Well Z, I think everybody has great ideas and thoughts, but I think at times we put the cart before the horse 
. We all get a little short about things when we try to do a good job, and things just don't workout

That doesn`t answer the question, How did the Mid-Central Aug. 07 RUN, become the BIG RUN for the entire country ?
There was mention of a forum wide meet in Denver or someplace, at a mountain resort. Then We (Mid-Central) started planning "our" regional meet, some one DUBBED it the BIG RUN or BIG BASH , and all of a sudden we were planning a national event.

well I was under the Impression that this was a Idea for the few of us that were at the Run on July 22nd 2006 and then came the Open house that was open to any one that wanted to go per the thread that Scaleguy put out now the Run in 2007 is the same thing as the one in July 2006 but I remember people saying that we could have a big one if it was planned right and we could have HHR owners come from all over the US. I dont know what is going on but all I would like to do is meet up with all of you when I can and enjoy everyones company and friendship. I don't think that is asking for much. So I guess I will just sit back and let who ever wants to say what ever. They can plan what ever they want and were ever they want and if I can make it We will go and attend what ever event that is being held. This is getting out of hand.

Big Run
Z-man, I agree with you, I am very willing to go to nearly any meet that is scheduled in a good manner. But, I am much more interested in going to a fun get together with friends, have our show and cruise, and hang out. I doubt it if I will be able to make it to all of a 3 or 4 day run. I have a business and 2 young kids and as much fun as the run will be, they come first. One pays the bills and the other two give the hugs. I will try and go, but.....

Z buddy the idea for the 07 event is to draw as many hhr people to our annual event since the national event was pushed back to 08! Not that we are triing to take over the national event!! No matter where it is ,when it is, or who is there, My main objective is to hang with yall and visit and have a good time (and you know WE get together) it will be a friggin blast!!! LOL Now this is just my take on the whole thing if I am wrong someone please correct me!!
I plan on havin a blast if we meet in a cornfeild in the middle of bfe and give a corn cobb to the best lookin car there!!LOL as long as all the great folks that were there at the last one im havin fun and lookin forward to meetin new ones like that crazy NIBOR!!! LOL and a whole bunch more!!
One last thing Z thanx bud I owe you big time!!! the 4th amigo!!

I think we're just getting caught up in the name. The idea, though I may be wrong, is to make the region event so attractive that not only will those in the Midwest not be able to resist but people from all over will be attracted to our fun and magnetic personalities!!
I don't think this is in anyway being pitched as a national event, just one that people from across the country might want to join us for.
But of course, I've been wrong before!

It appears that this thread has lost it`s usefulness. Lock it down.
How about discussing a MID-CENTRAL RUN, in the MID-CENTRAL regional SITE, let all other regions, Clubs, etc; have their discussions and RUN plans in /on their site. Then when WE`RE talking about MID-CENTAL stuff, we`re all on the same page.
Just as we now have a RIDE of the MONTH, no other region (member) should be posting their pics for entry.
Lets be Mid-Central region, let the National commitee (if there is one ) plan the BIG RUN ( 07-08 ) Maybe someone would like to start a National Commitee, But our little group can`t handle it.
