Update, As Mid-American HHRs is a not-for-profit organization, our run vendor HHR Boutique has volunteered to donate a portion of their profits from sales at our run to our charity of choice. The club will vote on nominations this weekend and announce the charity next week...Thank you to HHR Boutique for their generousity. A new business started by one of our members, Stevflo, has just agreed to sponsor the Mild Custom Class trophies for the Dells run, I will list the business on the club sites as it is not an HHR based parts supplier, nor is it a supporting vendor to the forum. Thank you Stevflo. Oldschoolfreak contacted me and he has gotten a trophy sponsor as well. The sponsor has not yet chosen the class and as they are not a forum supporting vendor I will not name them here, I will say that they did host us at their location for last year's Fall run for those who were there. Thanks Oldschoolfreak for getting this completed. The dealership where I bought my HHR has sponsored the Stock Class...Well that leaves two classes and the specials and over a week to go, I still think that all will be sponsored . It will be cool to have all of the trophy classes named for their sponsor...Take care all and come join us if you can, it is going to be a blast !!!

I did a car show at work today, it was a non-compete, but the HHR did draw quite a bit of attention...It also meant a nice t-shirt and another dash plaque !!!
It allowed me to decide what I need to square away before I get to the Dells. It is a nice thought knowing that in less than a week people will be either be in the Dells or getting ready to roll. It has been a long wait, but I really think that it is going to be worth the wait and the work...If anyone has traffic cones or smaller versions we could use them, or if you can bring empty milk jugs we could mark the creeper race course with them...
I hope that the "ringer" deer that I ordered gets in the Dells in time...if Toms gets the lead in the go-cart racing I'm sending that sucker in !!!...nobody tell Toms !!!
Since the first run, we have had the '06 Fall Run, the '06 Winter Run and the '07 Spring Run, a lot of fun, and a few growing pains and I know that I have been made better by the experiences. I only hope that the second Summer Run is at least as much fun as the first and that we make some more new friends and strengthen the ties with the old ones..
For all of you coming please roll carefully and for those of you not coming, keep checking because I can guarantee there will be a story or two and a few pictures by the end of this one...

Well, I'm off work now until after the Dells. Now I can start packing . Pat, do we have a circle of phone #'s for people to call when they arrive in case we are not around the Hotel when they get there?

I am sooooo ready for next weekend. Have been working 12 hour days since I got off vacation July 23rd. This old man don't handle 3am to 3pm very well any more. Have to work them again next week so I am planning on getting up at 3am Friday and heading out. Hope to get my running boards fabricated before next weekend. Will post pics if I get them done.

As far as cones whatever you can bring, we will make due...I will put together phone numbers and make them available this weekend...I am working on the sponsor boards and other signs this weekend and putting finishing touches on stuff. I met with all of the senior project engineers to remind them that there would be no support Thursday and Friday of next week and have alist a mile long to finish before rolling early Thursday morning...Phew I am ready to be there having fun !!!
