Anyone want to go with me to a car show in Pontiac, Illinois Saturday June 16. It is put on by a club that does lots of restorations but there are numerous classes...looks like we would fit into Modified/Custom 2001-2007 ??? $15.00 bucks admission, registration from 8:00 to 12:00 trophies at 3:30 and there is a club paricipation trophy too..it would be cool to get enough people to win that for the club !!! dash plaques, door prizes and 50/50 drawing... Gotta check w/Bob. He's been sticking close to his mom since his dad passed away last week. Maybe he'll be ready for a road trip? I'll let you know!

 

If not there is also going to be a party at my place on June 23 a week from Saturday...all are welcome, really a loose format, come and go as you please food, fun great company...just let me know. We also have a show here in Peoria on July 21 and again on the weekend of August 3-5...

 

Okay, the car show in Pontiac was a good one 111 cars and trucks, pretty fair class distribution ( of course no HHR class, I got the "hey what is this" again, the second show in a row...) I was in the Modified/Custom 2001-2007 class. I was impressed with the judges who spent plenty of time with the HHR, even asking questions about the modifications... Result, 1st Place in Class. So in the past three weeks, two shows and two class first places...
I took pics with my sons Nikon film camera so I will have to have them developed and placed on a disc before I can post them, but a local dealer had a white panel done in vinyl advertising his dealership...all in all a great show...I did take a couple pics of the trophies from the last two shows with the digital...Pat

 

way to go pat!!! you lucky dog!! i havent been able to do crap!! i finnally rented out my house in LaMoille and when we turned the water on found a crack in the main line and the hot water heater crapped out so my weekend was spent doin house repairs!!! OH Joy!!!

 

I am having basement watering issues which amazingly weren't disclosed during the purchase so I might have just had my car show wings clipped for a couple of weeks...We are planning to make a show in Peoria on July 21 and again on August 3-5 and of course the Dells, but beyond that I really don't know where else I might toss in a show or two...Hey there is a party at my place Saturday afternoon/evening in case you want to take a break and drive down, really informal, just kinda' hanging out...let me know...Pat
