Thank You for the compliment, but there are whole alot of nice HHR's in this region that are going to be there I'm sure. I'm just hoping to make some new bud's and have a good time. And if in the process I happen to get an award, it would just make a good thing better. .....Now you guys are gonna make me get my last couple of mods in order before the run...luckily there is still some time left before the trip.....Regards

Just thought I'd post a reminder.

Entries for the "Mid-Central Ride of the Month" for November 2006

  • Post up to three pics of your Mid-Central HHR and if you have a link for pics posted elsewhere.
  • On the 20th we'll have a poll/thread for a vote to run until the 25th.
  • We'll close the poll, announce the winner and close the thread.
  • Then we'll create a thread for the "Mid-Central Ride of the Month" November 2006
  • We'll do it all over again each month until we get tired of it.
  • You can only be featured once a year.

Hey Guys/Gals, The idea behind the RIDE of the MONTH was to have a Ride chosen from the members of the MID-CENTRAL region, who wanted to have their Ride featured for (1) month, once a year.
Just because there are neighboring States, Regions, and Members coming to OUR RUNS because their region has no activity, does not qualify them to enter a contest in our region, and just eliminate the rules/requirements because, well he`s/she`s a good person. Well Who`s" not ? ( ok maybe I`m not ).
If the people in another region want a RIDE of the MONTH , start one... I see at least (3) potential candidates right here on this thread... Then If you want to go to their site, join their contest, maybe they won`t have any rules either.
The contest was fair, theres no need to change/bend the rules. If we can`t get past the first month without bending, then we should just eliminate the whole thing and just participate in the national contest.

Up until this point, everyone played by the rules. No one from any other region entered their Ride in the contest...
Everyone understood the rules as layed out. Now I have to have a problem because SOME PEOPLE can`t be FAIR and HONEST...
Had RUDEINC been coming to the thread, saw the contest, saw HE wasn`t eligible , MOVED on, we wouldn`t be talking about this at all. Now I`m the one that`s wrong.
You could`ve just welcomed/invited him to the run and said " I`m sorry, Rules are RULES", no instead you were willing to just disregard the rules, Why.?
I`m not afraid of a little compo, Legit COMPO.

Point well made and well taken.

I was hoping you would say something because I happen to agree. This was started for HHRs in our region. I guess I've gotten gun-shy because anytime I say/do something anybody doesn't agree with, I'm considered being difficault and an a$$.

I'm just sick and tired of all the fighting and really don't care about it anymore. But no, I'm not going to take my toys and go home and pout.

I just wish that everyone would understand that you can't be all things to everyone no matter how much "fun" we want to have.

I say this and won't mention this again. I can't vote or run for office in a state I don't live in. This is just stupid trivial stuff. Its a contest for a car for crying out loud.
