Mid-Central Regional Run Update
Mid-Central Regional Run Update
Okay, here is an update on where we stand with the August12, 2006 Run. The site has been secured, good parking lot, grass for lounging, games etc. Cruise route is set, about thirty miles, covers two other cruises so we can parade our HHRs and ends up at a drive-in burger joint. Trophies, three classes, Stock, Mild Custom and Custom, I will expain the classes in a later update...awards 1st-3rd, also a Peoples Choice and a Long Distance trophy. Through the work of Black Beauty we have secured "Driftwood"a full custom HHR built by a fantastic local builder for the 2005 SEMA Show, as a non-competing exhibitor. The coloring books are almost all copied, the kids games are in the planning stages, the Hot Wheel track is being built. The sponsors are sending stuff, mostly goodie bags so far ,but as the date gets closer the pace should pick up and we are just beginning to work the local sponsors. I am working with a couple of radio stations for advertizing and hopefully a remote broadcast. The dash plaque designs are being worked now, it might be a cartoon, it might be a photograph, but for sure, next year's design will be a picture of this year's People's Choice winner. I will be producing maps and lodging info for anyone who needs it...If I have forgotten anything, just remind me and I will include it in the next update...Oh and pre-entries numbers 1, 2 and 3 are taken...I got number three (Earnhardt fan)...Contact me for entry forms, the flyer or the sponsor letter, if you want to help chase sponsors...
