QC G2G-April 21st
Update!
April 21st Update! Sorry it's taken me so long to get an update here, Bob's father has been very ill and in the hospital for the past month. He is still there, all thoughts and prayers will be appreciated!
First of all, for really good information on the Quad Cities, check out this website: www.visitquadcities.com It gives a great area map, places to stay and things to see and do here. If you like the casinos, we have 3 in the area. The Isle of Capri in Bettendorf has an attached hotel.
Now, the itinerary for the day!
8:30 a.m.-??? Gather and meet together at Eriksen Chevrolet-Buick located at 325 E 1st Avenue in Milan, IL Just take exit 15 on I-280, take a right and you can't miss it (it's the place with all the Chevy's and Buick's!) They will have a place for us to line up the cars and they will have donuts, bagels, coffee, pop for us! If the weather is not cooperating, we can gather together inside!
11'ish-cruise from Milan to Cordova Drag Way Park. I want to "cruise the Avenue" (which is Avenue of the Cities-starts in Moline and goes all the way to Silvis) Cordova Drag Way Park is located at 19425 Route 84 North in Cordova (that's 3 miles North of Cordova right on Highway 84) For those who want to race~they can. The rest will just watch and visit. I still have to see about parking together there! More on that later. You can check out the track website at: http://www.cordovadrag.com/index.html
4 p.m.-Track closes and I thought we'd cruise back and take the Iowa side of the river back to the Maid Rite in Bettendorf!
The visitors guide lists all the hotels available in the area. For those who want to spend the night, I'm sure we can arrange to do some site seeing on Sunday if you wanted to. The John Deere Pavillion is pretty neat if anyone would want to see that. Just either let me know here or shoot me off a PM and I'll do whatever I can to make your visit here in the Quad Cities a memorable one!
Remember, anyone and everyone is welcome for this get together and I am looking forward to seeing each and everyone of you!
If you have other suggestions~please let me know.
Love to all
Robin

Just went to Mapquest.
That Chevy dealer is 2hrs, 49min., from me. 173.47 mi.
That`s a long way and plenty of oppurtunity for people to join in on the HHR CONVOY from Chi.
To get there by 8:30, we`ll need to leave Chi. around 5-5:30a, non stop even.
The western guys/gals, (Peoria area), could be at Mickey-D`s waiting.
Oldschool can help with that.
Do we have a CONVOY???
