Here's the response I got from Mid-Ohio...now if we could just get 100 members to commit, we'd have the complex for $95 each for the day!

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for your e-mail at www.midohio.com

In regards to a potential event at Mid-Ohio in 2009 we would certainly love to have your car club participate in a rental at our facility. When you can please provide the type of car club you are, the approx. number of participants you would have and the dates you have in mind. I have many weekday events left in June, July and August but they do typically fill up fast starting the first of the year. The price for the rental is $9500 per day and requires a $3000 deposit to hold the date. We provide corner workers, ambulance, wrecker, firemen, and a security guard as part of the rental feel. The car club provides the insurance which will all be outlined in a contract if you decide to rent our facility.

Again, please provide the above information when you can and I look forward to possibly getting to work with you in the future. Should you have additional questions or need clarification please do not hesitate to call or e-mail me.

Thanks again!

I was at goofy golf in Sandusky this summer when you guys were there....I had an SS at the time, but it wasn't an HHR. It was a Trailblazer. It was cool seeing all the HHR's. I think the Mid-Ohio thing would be cool, i'm new to the forum but it might be tough to get 95 HHR guys to sign up. Maybe if we included another group it could be done. Not sure how many members are performance oriented. I could be wrong though! Keep us updated, I know there are a lot of good ideas out there. I'm 20 minutes from Cedar point, so anything close i'll be all for it!!!

I talked to the Super Chevy staff today...for car clubs, they donate $5 for each vehicle in the club...we have an HHR club, right? We would be in the open class, all parked together!

Car Show Car and Driver - $45.00
(Judged-Chevy bodied or powered only)

Show n' Shine and Driver- $35.00
(Non-judged, open to all GM powered or bodied vehicles)

These ticket prices are for the entire weekend, which I doubt we would want to stay for three! days. So, that would leave official judging out, but we can judge our own paticipants as we usually do. Spend one day there, cruise on to our next destination...thoughts?
