NAIAS 2010 Meet / January 23rd
You know, I really, really disagree with them removing the Chicklets. They are total subtle (and powerful) advertising for the car. If you put a sharp car out like the Malibu and the average joe doesn't know who made it, what have you accomplished? To me, it's sort of like what Mobil/Esso did when it minimized the name and went to Exxon. Through away years of brand-name awareness. While a lot of guys here don't like them, from a corporate standpoint, why remove the free advertising?
Also nice to see they took the time to bring in the HHRs. Frankly, I'm suprised... is there anything we can read into them bringing them to the show??

Well, I slept in till about 11 this morning. My legs and feet feel alot better now. I had a real good time hangin out and checking out all the cars at the show. Glad everyone made it home safe and sound after a very long day. It was great seeing all of you and nice meeting Matt. Now I need to get some motivation and work on my homework for school, lol.
But I agree, why remove the Chiclets...
So on another note, I did check my gas mileage in my Lumina, since I never really get to take it on longer expressway driving... I did have an error when filling it up after I got back...I didn't pull up close enough to the pump so it clicked off too soon, then when I put more in I accidentally put a tiny bit too much in...so, I have a little margin of error. The low reading would be 29.9, and the high was 30.9 so it was somewhere in between there. Not too bad for an 11 year old car that had a window sticker rating of only 29!
I did drive pretty steady with the cruise on 70 the entire way. Can't complain with that!
