i only thought of it because I know I am going to be traveling for a wedding the holiday weekend, and I had to check the calendar to make sure the last weekend in august wasn't also labor day.

Whelp barrring that I ditch the HHR again I'm up for a August G2G. Some one mentioned Tony's by Birch Run.

i haven't been to tony's in years, but I always kind of felt it was more quantity over quality. However if you need a banana split so big that a family of 4 can't finish it, that is the place to go.

My very first memory was of the BLT they brought out. Scared the hell outta me.

As said before, I've never eaten there, but I've heard the quantity over quality thing before... Hard to say. Personally, there aren't too many good restaurants around here. The best couple are in Flint and Saginaw. (Other than of course Lucky's! )

could always finish out the day with a cruise to flint if there is anything good downtown. I haven't been in awhile so I have no idea what is there.

Or a cruise to the A&W in Flushing if it is still open. Haven't been there in awhile either. I know the one just past goodrich is still there (our windows suck for drive up places like A&W though, so hard to get my big frosty mug into the car!).
