Exclamation Upcoming Weather! Are you Ready?

I was completely oblivious dreaming of an early spring and then my good friend Dustin (djr1973) had to burst my bubble and inform me of the impending doom. From weather.com:

... POTENT WINTER STORM TO AFFECT THE REGION...

.A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL PUSH INTO THE OHIO VALLEY ON TUESDAY... AND SUPPORT DETERIORATING WEATHER CONDITIONS IN THE AREA. SNOW WILL DEVELOP ON TUESDAY AFTERNOON... EXPANDING IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY TUESDAY EVENING. SNOW WILL CONTINUE INTO WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON... ENDING BY WEDNESDAY EVENING. SNOW MAY MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO SLEET OR FREEZING RAIN SOUTH OF ROUTE 24... WITH SOME ICING POSSIBLE. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF UP TO 18 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THIS SYSTEM... WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS OF OVER 20 INCHES NOT OUT OF THE REALM OF POSSIBILITY. SUSTAINED WINDS OF 15 TO 30 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS... WOULD SUPPORT WIDESPREAD BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW... WITH DRIFTS POTENTIALLY REACHING SEVERAL FEET IN SOME LOCATIONS. TRAVEL WILL LIKELY BE DIFFICULT TO IMPOSSIBLE IN MANY AREAS... WITH ROAD CLOSURES POSSIBLE. THERE IS STILL SOME UNCERTAINTY REGRADING THE EXACT TRACK OF THIS SYSTEM... AS CURRENT FORECAST SNOW AMOUNTS AND STORM IMPACTS COULD CERTAINLY CHANGE. PERSONS IN THE AREA SHOULD PREPARE FOR THIS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS STORM.

It has been a LONG COLD and SNOWY winter here in OH. One more week of this "stuff" and I am going to Tampa for a week. Only a few more weeks after I return and we should be over the "hump"!

I think now would be a good time for that off road Segway or maybe a dog sled. It sounds very nasty so be careful, hate to lose you in a drift until spring.

Not looking forward to it for sure. Just means the SS will stay put in hibernation a little longer.

Ohio River Valley? That's like, a long ways away. I don't think I'll have to worry!

All it says on Weatherbug for us is 2" on Monday night, then significant accumulations on Tuesday night, and more accumulations Wednesday. Of course it can't come Monday night into Tuesday... I have class in Flint at 8am Wednesday morning. Yay for having to leave over an hour early for a 30 mile drive!
