BlingLights Cold Air Intake?

Anyone seen or used one of these CAI units? 90 bucks seems pretty inexpensive. Just wondering what opinions are.

Looking at thru the pics I do not see the MAF in the parts group pics??? The MAF they are using looks like the ones that Autozone sells for $40. This would still be cheaper then the common intakes but the flexible tubing that they are using will cause unwanted turbulence in the intake just before the throttle body due to the ribs. If you want cheap just order the MAF part form someone like Autozone then by a $30-$50 kit that has the bends and filter that you want.

I think someone on here has already done tis with a U shaped intake tube.

Honestly I've seen better thought out dryer vents, spend you money on something better, and something that actually brings in cold air....not sucking warm under hood air, and making nothing but noise.

Ha! Yeah, just wanted to get opinions since I hadn't seen this intake before. Came up while doing some Google shopping. The price and pics made me suspicious. I'm sure you get what you paid for with an unknown like this. I would love to pick up a CGS unit used. Tried to get one here with no luck. Anyone got any leads?

fwiw: modify a CGS to have it go out the fenderwell to get outside air..(same as the stock wooly worm does).

But it would have to have a flexable part in it because of engine movement...

"have it go out the fenderwell to get outside air"

That's the key, so many of these "performance" intakes haul in superheated underhood air, well that makes them "warm air intakes" not cold air intakes.

Chevrolet provided a nice place to suck in outside air, nice cool outside air, right there in the right front fender....so why don't folks take advantage of that?

What drives me nuts, and has me looking at CAIs, is that it's such a pain in the a** to change the stock air filter.
