Custom Air-Box Lids

Check this out, Custom Lexan Lid on My baby, Laser Etched/Cut. I will be making color coded gaskets as well, at 1" thick. This one is lifted 1" for that big K&N filter with no gasket. I am also toying with the idea of LED stripping

If you like send me a PM

Very cool! I'd like something like that for my K&N.

I did this one this morning for a car show/shine.

I plan on offering several styles, colors, and custom options, as well. If someone wanted a bald eagle with with "Born Free" then so be it. A transformer logo, Bat symbol, etc. The Idea is the Lexan is the canvas, you can decide what goes on it, if you don't like ready-cut ones.

I have sent Mike a PM inquiring about vendor status, and will keep everyone updated. I am gonna do a couple more designs in the meantime.

The equipment I'm using is a 90W CO2 Laser with plenty of possibilities, and a large cutting area, so lids are just the beginning. custom stereo stuff, etched valve covers, etc.

I ran the LEDs inside the box with my lexan lid lift a while back. The cabling goes along the intake and back through the cabin filter where it tied into the controller for the interior lights. I had no laser so I used a dremel. It seemed to light up the engraving nicely as well as giving the filter a nice glow.

Awesome! If I did this I would put together something as a kit. thanks for sharing.

I am open to suggestions. I am waiting on 1/2" and 1" foam rubber to come in now, for gaskets, but LEDs are up next.
