And it's was 35 bucks. I'm on a budget so I have few choices. I already tried a magnaflow muffler which was way more expensive and the sound wasn't what I wanted at all.

When I had my Eclipse turbo I had a Tanabe G-medallion exhaust that had a removable silencer. With it in you barely heard the exhaust, with it out it was very loud almost like an open exhaust. Most of the time I ended up running it with the silencer in. I had a vert so I could hear it hear it so that may have been more of why I wanted it quieter. Plus my obnoxious days are behind me

What about a SUPERTRAP?

Has anyone tried using a Supertrap muffler (the one with the stackable diffuser discs for tuning the sound)? I see them on motorcycles and a friend had them on his 37 Ford w/ small block Chevrolet power

I never even knew something like that existed. Sounds like a cool feature. As for my N1 style I got it installed he other day and it came out great..REALLY REALLY deep and low tone. Just what I was hoping for and way more quiet compared to my muffler delete. I'm happy with it. Ill post up some vids tomorrow so you guys can check it out.

Glad to hear it came out like you wanted, stuff from e-bay is a bit of a crap shoot, sometimes it's really good....and sometimes it's scary bad.

Sounds good. I have been watching youtube vids of ecotec exhausts and have seen another vid but of a G5 or Cobalt, can't remember which but same car so doesn't matter lol, the other day with a N1 style exhaust and it sounded similar to yours. Did not like the sounds of any Magnaflow exhaust nor CGS ones. They all seem to have a zip zip sound when rev'd. While these and other similar so called ricey mufflers had a low/deep smooth sound to them. Flowmasters did sound good though. But Cherry Boms, Thrush, Magnafow etc etc just not my cup of tea on a 4 cylinder car.

Totally agree with you. I had a magnaflow on mine first and after a few months I had to take it off it just didn't sound good at all. Then I went with muffler delete which in my opinion was great but on long drives the sound was kinda annoying. But with this muffler im totally happy with it. Low and deep tones and if you put the silencer on it will sound like crap but it will be very quiet and only 35 bucks. Cant complain :)
