I have thought about switching over to E85 but the problem is the price spread has to be about 80 cents for you to even break even in money. Where I live none of the prices are reported on the E85prices site so I think I will be taking a road trip one weekend and getting prices on a bunch of them just to get a idea of what the price spread is out here near me.
What is this ethanol tune you are talking about though? In what ways will it benefit you? Is it worth the effort to even do it or is it just better to switch back to normal guess once in a while just to flush the system and preserve the pistons?

Best thing to do with E85 is to not switch back and forth. If you stick with it, your mileage will be almost the same as using gas. We have several of our customers running nothing but E85 and the mileage is not all that different. If you swith back and forth, you will take a mileage hit.

Hello King..
Without getting into a big debate about ethanol.. Price certainly matters ..that's the idea being our site is so everyone can help everyone else locate the best price.
But more than price people will run E85 for the simple fact that we didn't need to send our kids off to die and kill for it. Provides jobs here at home. "Made in the USA"
And no it isnt "subsidized".. the blenders credit ended over a year ago..
Here is 100% ethanolo pricing on the Chicago Board of Trade http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/ener...t-ethanol.html
and Gasoline..

Tune.. Flex Fuel Vehicles are tuned for gasoline..you can run either fuel ethanol or gasoline but they are tuned for gasoline. With Ethanol you can run higher compression and leaner ..so I'll have the car put on the dyno and tuned(flex fuel map adjusted) for MPG running ethanol.. cost around $400 .
Back to the wrap .. very happy with it.
I was looking for a HHR Panel but the local dealer had a great special on some regular HHRS that came in from a fleet .. 10K for a 2011..
