Chevrolet wanted approx. $500 for OEM black ones with the end caps.
I found them at partswebsite.com. This link is just the rails, the covers are separate items in the side menu under "Luggage carrier".

Also, I ended up there because apparently GM has seen fit to erase any mention of the HHR on gmaccessorieszone.com.

How strange ... on that site the right Rail is more money then the left Rail ???

I just ran a Test order on that Parts website and the cost is $442.30 shipped to my address for the Chrome rails and caps.

Thats pretty close to My Chevrolet dealer price where I can just pick them up.

Any Better deals on New OEM Chrome Rails and caps anywhere ??

Lots of parts sites have price discrepancies like that. You could try gmpartsdirect.com, but puitting an order together there is more tedious.

Sometimes I wonder what Geek set up some of these web sites...

No common sense at all. Clutter and Dis-Organized.

The other issue I see is the high shipping charges for some of these parts.
I do realize rates have gone up but I think just like E Bay there is gouging on the shipping including GM Parts Direct.com

Good price but high shipping charges....

With what little Winter Weather
we had here around Stlouis last year.
i did find one good use for the
roof rack rails on my 2LT.
They are a good place to hang on too
while on slippery surfaces. ~

I'd break'em if I used them as a handle.....I need to get off my but and actually get them off as they annoy me.
