Anybody Removed their Roof Rack for Looks ??
I like my roof rails and wouldn't think of removing them.
I think it sets off the roof nicely and adds a bit of height and heft. I don't have the cross rails and will probably never use then for rooftop load carrying, and don't mind washing and waxing around them. Without them, I think the roof has a litle too much "rounded loaf of bread" look and the rails square things off a little.

After running around nekkid for the past five months, I've been pondering with the idea of adding a set of black racks back to my wagon. Now that I'm all blacked out and lowered, I'm wondering how it would look. I sold my chrome racks, but I wouldn't go back with them anyways, but I think a set of black racks might look pretty good. What are you guys thoughts on this?
I've got a pic of my wagon a page or so back...

The plugs don't look bad at all in person...much better than chrome roof racks. Of course it'll look better welded and done right, not sure when I'll have the cash to do that though. Not really sure if I want to add back rails or not.
I would never use my racks and the whole washing/waxing things sucks. As it is there is so much area to cover, without the racks, it's just easier to maintain for us elderly, achin' folks.
Chef....if you trashed your racks and want a set to paint black, you can have mine when I yank'em off.

....and my Glocks looks like bricks but they still function fine.
I like my blue bread loaf without handles.
