Auto dimming side mirrors

Does anyone know of a model car that has auto dimming side mirrors that exactly fits the HHR mirror glass size?

I need to add auto dimming mirrors to prevent all the people with trucks and HID lights blinding me.

The rear view mirror works great for this.

Hmm, well maybe one can be made. I will have to look into what an auto dimming mirror actually does to make it dim.

Ah ha, there is an electrochromic later that darkens the mirror when a voltage is present.

Any others familiar with this, or familiar with a company that will sell the auto dimming glass, or a possible mirror that is the same size as the HHR?

Why not adjust your mirrors to alleviate the problem?

I've adjusted mine in the past but auto dimming is much better. The new Camaro's have them, the new Jaguar XJ's have them. They are very nice. The Jaguar are heated as well so no more condensation on the mirrors. I would love to retrofit the HHR for both auto dimming and heating. I replaced my manual interior mirror for the Gentex. It came with auto dimming and a compass as well as the reading lights. The reading lights don't work because they go through the body module and mines not programmed for it. All the rest work fine though even on star.

My mirrors are adjusted perfect for driving but at night that means perfect to get blinded by illegal headlights.

For your rear view mirror, the reading lights are still going to be triggered on using a switch though right? Why not power the wire using an add a fuse circuit?

Spending a few minutes on eBay I found several that looked like the might fit an HHR.

BTW, there is a fit over option. They glue on top of the old glass. You could get one that is close to right nobody would notice.

I haven’t found anything on eBay.
And are the glue over ones electrically activated auto dimming or just anti glare?

"autodimming side mirror" is what I searched. None specific to HHR, stick ons are usually plain.

You might find one that fits, for $250. I don't know anything about them, just trying to aim you.
