No.... The instructions just indicates that you just must remove all the dirty, grime and wax... You must keep the bright of the chrome finish.

Fail!

Well, I tried today to paint the grille. I didn't like the finish. It looked like crappy chinese toy finish. Then, I just used a lot of acetone to remove the gloss.

No choice, I am gong to keep the chrome.
