GM did it in vinyl from the factory on the astro/safari vans in the 90`s mine was still in great shape after 11 years

I did the same thing on my 00 Dakota,painted in between the front and rear door and took the all the vinyl decals off,it made for a nice smooth look.

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback.

I'd love to see Tim come up with a vinyl solution. I think the trickiest part to do in vinyl is blacking out the reveal that runs around the rear window.

Other than reversability, the major advantage of vinyl to me is the clean, straight edge that I had a hard time getting with paint.

Im seriously considering this for my white 08. Yes the reveal or channel that runs with the rear glass has to be addressed but I know Tim and he will find a solution.
