Just as with any tool or equipment proper use must be followed. You can swirl your car anytime you touch it, whether washing, brushing snow off, etc.

I use the duster and have never had a problem.

geez...just READ and FOLLOW the directions on the package. Not a big deal.

I started using Californicate Dusters about 15 years ago, when I discovered that GM uses them on all the show cars at national events.

I'm on my 6-7th one if I remember correctly. I also save the old ones (appropriately marked) for doing the spoke wheels. I have a smaller one, also available at WalMart, for doing the interior......great for doing air vents and those little areas usually necessitating a q-tip.

Also make sure you don't use it on a hot day. It will make a mess. Make sure car is in the shade and metal is cool. Been using them for as long as they have been making them. Especially on a Black car."Moon'

The key is to let it "cure" -- set it in the sun for a day or 3 before using it for the first time as it has wax on it. But to echo everyone else, I have one (with a purple handle!) and swear by it in a pinch -- and the dirtier it gets, the better it cleans. Used it today!

I have the little one as well for quick cleans and small corners.

I have a black HHR, so a good investment.
