Chevy HHR tailgate hatch handle cover

Does anybody make a smooth tailgate hatch handle cover without the Chevy bowtie?
Thanks

Never have run across one, but the rear bowtie is easily removed with some fishing line and a bit of patience, once it's gone you're on the way to making your own smooth hatch handle.

P.S. to the forum!

Does anyone have a used tailgate hatch handle cover without the bowtie for sale

If no one knows where I can get a smooth one does anyone have an old one without the bowtie that is for sale.
I mite be able to cut it and fill it in.
Thanks

They should be available from GM, or a salvage yard or you would not see HHRs that have been rear ended getting fixed. However, once you remove the gold part the molded part will have to be addressed with some body work (grind, prime, paint), if the aim is to get rid of all bowtieness.

I'd say scrapyard is the way to go, or one of the many GM wholesale sites. Save yourself some effort and try to find one that's not chromed. In a yard that means it'll come from a 1LT or SS. Ordering new, get one PTM (paint to match) and don't select a color if that option is available.
