Custom Grills
have a question.
I see a lot of guys painted their grills.
Guys! how you do it? Need a primer. What kind of primer do you use?
I admit - there are dyes that can be used without a primer. Is this true? If yes, what are they called?
I dismantled my grill, I want to paint it. It is nickel plated, but in some places nickel coating is removed. I do not know the dye and primer, which adheres equally well to metal and plastic. I do not want to paint at random - I'm very upset if the paint will disappear at the first wash.

The chrome plating can be peeled off or sanded off (and I read the other day it can be taken off with oven cleaner, but I haven't researched that yet).
One it's off, you can use any automotive primer and paint.

Nickel is very difficult to remove.
At home - is impossible. In a professional studio - the high cost of labor (which is equivalent to higher costs money). Chemicals must exist, but I do not know them.
