boutique mod wanted

I would like to get the depo black lights with HID projectors added. Is anyone willing to attempt this incredibly risky modification? One vendor died trying to install the projectors (well the light assembly died, anyway). Anyone else willing to climb out of the trenches on the Western Front and advance through no-man's-land?

Don't do that. If you are going to open/cut/mod, you might as well do a stock set. Doing the depo's is to avoid opening a set yourself. If you are going to do that anyway, just get a set of cheaper stocks.... perhaps used ones.

HID projectors

I'd be just as happy to convert a used set of stock ones that someone took out for their new, classy-looking DEPOs. But, what I really need is someone who can successfully do the conversion. If I find someone who can do the modification, then I will work on getting the assemblies.

However, with the black color, I have been doing some black modifications such as the wheel center caps. I should have done the Bermuda Black IPCWs but I hadn't thought it all out when I first got the HHR. The DEPOs would look nicer with the black color, but getting something new and cutting into and possibly breaking it is probably too risky.

You're not going to get the factory headlights apart without damage....... Been there, done that, then got flooded out. So an attempt at re-assembly won't happen.
