Front License Plate Bracket Removal

Georgia only requires a rear plate. Removed the front Maryland plate thinking I would easily remove the front license plate bracket for a cleaner look and I am now unsure of how to properly remove that bracket. Looks like some sort of XXL rivet that might need to be drilled out. Looking for the trick to remove. I'm sure I'm missing something that makes it so easy that even a caveman could do it.

In most cases they are rivited on, which would require drilling to remove. Just get a plate with something you like and put it on, or if you can live with two holes in your bumper, than drill away.

The answers I was kind of expecting. Now I know why there are so many big G

in the front tag bracket on vehicles here. TY

That sucks. Mine was only screwed in. Left 2 very small holes that are not even noticeable in the front bumper

My front lic. plate brkt. was'nt on when I bought it, so I never put it on. Here in Cali., the law says you have to have front lic. plate, but I have'nt been stopped yet with the SS. On my 96 Impala SS, I was stopped twice for it, but when they saw I was a older guy, they let me slide. Guess age has it bennies. "Moon"

Ordered mine and told the dealer not to install it, here in Wa. we're required to have them on so I just zip tied it to the lower grill so I can take it off when showing it, no issues with air flow to the intercooler as yet,

Mine has never had a front bracket mounted. In fact there wasn't one with the car when it arrived new at the dealer. It does have 2 small indentions on the bumper cover where one would go. No front license required here.

Mine had one till I got run off the road by the cell phone talker. I told the dealer to leave it off.

You are in GA so all you need is a Georgia flag plate, #3 plate or a Skynyrd plate.

Don't laugh about the #3 but if you have anything Earnhardt people will do things like let you out into traffic and other nice things. We had one on a black Monte and were treated very well.
