Front window tint
Not entirely true, or GM would not have them tinted out of the factory. What you are meaning to state is that Michigan does NOT allow tinting above and beyond a certain percentage of light transmission.........probably altering the GM minimum of 70% minimum light transmission.
Nope. Had to look at mine to refresh my memory, before I wrote the above post. Look at the lower left side of the passenger window. It indicates 70% MINIMUM transmission. Checked my other 3 vehicles. They have it as well. But I have mine tinted to drop light transmission another 15%, which is illegal in most states..IIRC, the rear and hatch windows are 20%.

All this tint talk got me wanting to tint more..
Anyone tint the windshield strip that has the rearview mirror with the Compass in it ?
I'm wondering if tint would mess with my Compass readings ?
I'm thinking I need to do a tint strip across my windshield....
I did my fronts @ 20% years back...

Illegal in Ca... you would get a $100 ticket and have to remove it, and go to the hp station to get it okd by the hp dept.
I like the way that looks, but remember not to get pulled over because if they cant see in, they will come towards your car guns drawn for their protection of course... or i've heard.

Put your self in their position, would you want to walk up to a vehicle that you could not see in. I used to not care but now that my son is going to be a police officer it makes me think differently. Plus it is hard to see out of at night.
I guess not many have done this ?
