There's the Cadillac CTS wagon.

Why can't you just fold the rear seats down in your HHR?

Looking at your photochops, I think I would add the extra length at the b-pillar. That would alleviate the custom rear door. I don't know. Just an observation.

The Volvo V70 Sport Wagon is pretty cool. Its quick, sporty and used ones can be had for decent price.

The hull should fit inside, and depending on how well the rigging stows, perhaps an adequately wide pvc pipe can be made into a carrier for the roof rack.

I do fold the seats down but for the rigging I need 6ft. so I need to fld the front passenger seat down for the rigging. for the model boats the sails are a bitmore delicate and to take the sails on and off each time is more troublesome than it worth.

so Ican't just roll it up in a tube.

Well I got a couple years to figure it out....maybe something will come down the pipe that will fit my needs...

I had a chevy tracker with a roof top carrier that was plenty long for the rigging. but I was hoping to not go that route again...

Well, if you do decide to go with an HHR "stretch", you'd definitely have a "one-of-a-kind" vehicle. People have talked about this in the past, but I don't think anything ever came of it. I think the previous poster's need for this was to have a 3rd row seat if I'm not mistaken.

These are "more" like limos:

All of the above are photoshopped.

Anything is possible, just depends on how badly you want to do it and what your budget is. I personally think it would be really cool!

there's gotta be a way to figure out a car top carrier. One with swing arms and runners to get it up there.

Caddy makes a wagon.

Ford Flex with the 340hp ecoboost would be kinda sweet!

Get a used Dodge Magnum.

Volvo.

A custom stretch on an HHR seems very odd to me...

my folks have one of these...

if I wait long enough I'll get it and I wont have to worry any more... :)

I drove the Ford Transit. and it can be equipped the way I like at a decent price point..... but it rides like crap, and fuel mileage blows, no get up and go... and its got a "butter face" might as well get a minivan..

Oh well, I got a few years to see what else comes around...if I could only get my hands on the Holden Sportwagon....
