It's all plug and play with the harness already there. No splicing needed. Don't know about the kit you bought, but mine has the hi/low kits with it and it basically had it built in. You just need a good ground and power. I used the radiator support for the ground and the power port from the jump start terminal under the hood. If your getting misfires or slow warm ups, I'd add the relay kit for more power to the lights.

Oh I know this! My thoughts is that I'm going to just wait until xmas, do my regular HIDs then and do my fog light relays at the same time. I'll just remove the front bumper and give myself plenty of access. I'm going to install a new front lip at the same time, so that will give me time to find something that'll work up front.

 

jump start terminal? where is this located?! do you have pics? ive left my parkin lights on twice and im tired of diggin into my spare wheel well haha

 

It's right there in the Owners Manual.
(sorry. the pictures didn't copy)

You will not see the battery of your vehicle under
the hood. It is located in the rear cargo area.
You will not need to access your battery for jump
starting. The vehicle has a remote positive (+) and a
remote negative (−) jump starting terminal.
Locate the remote positive
terminal which is located
under a red tethered
cap on the engine
compartment fuse block.
Remove the cap to access
the terminal.
Do not remove fuse block cover to jump start the
vehicle.
Locate the remote
negative (−) ground
terminal, marked GND (−),
which is located at the
front of the engine
compartment on the driver
side of the vehicle.
See Engine Compartment Overview on page 6-16
for more information on the location of the
positive (+) and negative (−) terminals on the
vehicle.
{WARNING:
An electric fan can start up even when the engine
is not running and can injure you. Keep hands,
clothing and tools away from any underhood
electric fan.

 

awesome! yea i was familiarizing myself with the HHR one day and located just about everything and noticed something was missing... wth... a-ha my battery is MIA. found her in the trunk, will make it easier when i put my system in thats for sure. and now its all good knowing there are jump terminals in the front!

 

oh and yea i never recieved an owners manual stupid dealership...
