This makes sense to me. They're used in an area that warrants them. I don't get the macho syndrome where people install them for "better lighting" when they use public streets and highways with ample lighting to being with.
Just my 2 cents.

Hmm, I didn't seem to have that problem. The cutoff is very sharp and blue and pitch black above the line. Usually people have that problem when there shroud leaks light.

I ended up using morimoto mini H1 v5 and they were tuned by TRS.

The reason for that is the mini h1 produces a wider beam output than the d2s at the time which is what I was looking for, and overall it was cheaper.

TRS is pretty good and now they have there affordable acme kits. That's what I chose, everything you need for a great price. They have both D2S and H1.

But I switched to designing the wiring harness to work with bi-xenon HIDs and LED DRL.

Here's a question:
I want the high beams to trigger the projector shields and want the low beams to continually give power to the ballasts.

I know I can try to achieve this with diodes, but I heard of an all on mod that works with other cars by grounding the negative end of the low beams.

Apparently when the other cars turn on there headlights they get positive power and the negative is grounded, but when they trigger on the highs the positive power is still active but the low beams become ungrounded and the highs receive power.

Is that true in our case?
How did you end up wiring the projector shields?

Hmmm. You’re asking about a thread that died out 6 years ago. You may not get a reply.

The person you quoted, gio89kid, hasn’t posted on this site in several years.

Well, that sucks.. I can get the projector shields to actuate with high beam switch but they wont disengage until the lights are completely off.

You are considering that the headlights don't turn off the moment you turn off the ignition, right? The proper function is explained in the owners manual.

Um... Thats not what I was asking about.. Originally the HID projectors would not turn off high beam once initiated until all power was off to the headlights.. Then after the power to headlights were turned back on they would be back to low beam.. But I digress as I have it figured out now.
