Just finished playing with my new buffer

A little advise humbly offered for you guys and gals that are new to the "buffer"....might sound like a "no brainer" but, a through cleaning of ALL exterior surfaces prior to buffing is key to preventing the buffing wheel from picking up particles of course, abrasive dirt/debris that will scratch the paint as you're buffing (which creates bad swirl marks)....my 2 cents, for what it's worth

every little bit of advise helps and since I'm new to this I'll take it. I'm taking a DIY class from the company that sold me the polishes and wax. It's on the 19th and lasts 6 hours for $49. I bought my orbital so I could improve the appearance of my cars and I not using it right would just defeat that purpose. I don't want to learn any bad habits so that's I'm taking the class.
Too bad they didn't have these kind of classes years ago.

buffing
IMHO, That's $49 well spent sir....you'll be surprised at how much is involved in performing the buffing process correctly...I'm sure the other members here would like to hear about what you learn in that class.
