A little mad. silvania silverstar "whiter" lights still yellow! >:(
I bought some sylvania silverstar H13 bulbs, and they claim to be white and brighter (I just want them white, don't care about being brighter)
Well they are actually DIMMER and still have a yellow tint to them
Technically, they are "whiter" so I guess that's not false advertising.
I am wondering, what bulbs do I need to get clean natural white, without a yellow or blue tint?
I can't tell you how much I hate even my license plate lights having a noticeable blue or purple tint to them :\
what about HID/projector kits/housings?
I am absolutely new to all types of headlights...

Hyper White bulbs are about the closest you'll ever to get pure white, but no headlight either conventional or HID will give a perfect "clean sheet of white paper" light, all super white lights will always lean slightly towards the blue spectrum.
Getting into the reasons why and how the light spectrum breaks down would take up tons of room here, so the best you'll ever do is "close" but not 100% pure white light.
Here's a link to the Hyper White bulbs.....

Didn't we, the members, offer you information on "white" headlights in another thread?
If so, what was the ADVERTISED temperature color of the bulbs you purchased?
Appears like you didn't understand what was explained

here's what it looks like from the other side of the wind screen. With fogs and without.

I stopped trying to get white light out of a halogen bulb two vehicles ago, I'm sure they have made better ones, but they still don't hold a candle to the HID's. I bought the conversion kit with the H/L adapter, which runs the DRL's too, paid 75.00, right here on the forum.

All halogen light bulbs have a yellow tint to them, reguardless of what is advertised by any manufactor.
The closest you can get to pure white, is 5000k Hid, which is much better than the stock halogens.
I went with a 6000k, headlight[very slight blue tint], fog light setup, and I was amassed at the vast difference, from stock. I can see so much better and futher now, and the white painted stripes and reflectors on the roadway, seem to almost jump out at you now.
I checked the oncomning light from the SS, from another car, and it's very acceptable, and not blinding by any means.
I think well worth the money, and a lot better visablity. Just make sure you get a good quality setup[not a cheapy]. "Moon"
