NHHHR- My "grill" pops out on the bottom corners sometimes also...for the most part it stays but is not that tight on the bottom corners. I do not have it bolted, just the clips. I cut the corners on the top at an angle so the mesh does not even touch the bolts...

How did you guys fit the mesh over the bolt?

I have a few more pieces so I can make another...I feel during the winter there may have to be something to secure the bottom as snow hitting up there will push that screen right out

Use some wire cutters and cut a hole for the mesh to fit over the bolt and put a flat washer and nut on it. If you piddle with it enough and get it "formed" right, it'll stay in place.

Did you cut a hole on the side of the mesh or did you cut out a "doughnut hole"?

Snip out a hole like a donut to fit over the nut.

I`ve had mine in for the better part of a year, no problems with popping out, snow, or stones, it`s the best, cheapest mod that has come along.

How is your grill attached BB? Do you have the bolt on or anything clipping on the bottom?

Never had a problem with mine when it was in. So far no complaints from TCRNCOB or Don Battista, both were a g2g install I did for each, and to my knowledge they have not bolted their's down.

Scaleguy,

Can't wait to see pics of your color matched 3-bar grille with mesh. A few members here have the chrome 3-bar with mesh, but I have really been wanting to do a color-matched version with mesh to tie-in the theme with the lower grille (although mine would be dark silver instead of your black).

Anyways, i am hoping to get a idea of what it might look like based on your ride.

Have a good one - Joe
