I could not locate that stuff, I know what your talking about, and I believe it already stainless?. It is called metal Lath. This would be perfect for a custom main grille, say on my Sierra!!!!

 

CJ, you are the mod man! I have three of the same gutter screens in my garage waiting to be installed. I'm glad I waited until i saw your pictures, I would have thrown out the clips. Nice work

 

I did this as well, however i did not think of using the clips in that way. I just took them off and threw them on the garage floor. I guess I will have to find them and see if I can still use them. I mounted the screen to the two post with 8 x 1.25 nuts and two 5/16th fender washers.

CJ's original post said that the gutter guards he bought were anodized aluminum. Aluminum won't rust. The clips may rust... Great MOD!! I'll be picking mine up tomorrow.

 

Clips are made of stainless,,, stainless wont rust
