my way of fixing the "peeling" of the chevy badge

i have seen these on the forum before and i liked it. advanced auto parts didnt have the GM matched spray paint (IBM) so i went with "dark metallic blue". it is a shade brighter but not noticeable. i also had some leftover stickers for the "SS".

Did you tape it off or remove and paint?

i never removed it. i taped off the chrome, then used giant sheets of paper and covered pretty much everything in the picture and then some. and then put two coats on and had a drink.. im thinking about a clear coat tomorrow.

I did my last night. I taped it off and used newspaper to cover up the front and back of the car. Three coats and two coats of clear got me this...

Looks great! I was hoping you weren't going to keep the "Oh bleep! I backed over the paper boy again!" look.

Thanks guys! It looks much better in person than in the crappy iPhone pics. I tinted all my reflectors today because my Bermuda black LEDs will be here by Friday. I also dropped he rear this morning with my cobalt springs. I'm having a great time with this car!
