I am installing a set of aftermarket fogs on my LS. They come with an available power switch, wires to connect to positive terminal and 2 ground ones. As well as the wires directly connected to the lights. BUT, there is an extra wire, that that says to connect to a nearby 12v power source.

Where and how is the best place to connect to a "nearby 12v power source"? What materials would I need to do it? I've read most of the forums on fog lights but that one step pushed me back. Oh, and while I'm at it, is there any advice that I could get on the BEST way to run the wires inside the front end of my car? I saw the hole through the firewall, but how can i make sure they'll be safe from the lights, to the firewall without getting damaged? Is there any place that I can secure the wires in my engine bay?

By the way, is there any other electrical or general thing that I should watch out for? Any advice is helpful.
