Here's a pic of Jeff®'s HHR in red with tinted tail lights, and here's the link to the thread on tinting.

Thanks. Looks awesome. But does anyone know if it is legal in Ohio? I am sure it is to a point, but I like them dark. I think I would be ok as long as I leave the reflectors alone. Ohio requires rear reflectors on all vehicles or they will ticket you, or so I've been told.

I appreciate that.
I have always wondered why the license plate being illuminated was important. I asked a Trooper once and he stated "so if I'm following you in the dark, I can read your tag." I replied with "if you're following me in the dark then your headlights are on my tag." He said, "what if my lights aren't on?" "Then it's daylight and you can see it anyway" I replied. He then called me a smarta$$ and told me to get it fixed. LOL

Has anyone tried the tinting film for tinting the tail lights instead of painting them with niteshades? Just curious. It seems like it would be a lot simpler, and removable at a later date. Here's a link to what I'm talking about...

You might have a struggle getting it to conform to the shape of the HHR's lights, it will want to form ripples or pleats around the outer edge of the lens. Maybe someone here, or the vendor, would know if the material can be heated prior to application so that it would conform to the flattened spherical shape presented by the lens.
