You talking about spray painting the rims or the car.

I've used this stuff before and it's great! I used it for painting a few interior/enginge compartment items, but I used the red. Unless you're painting over silver, you first need to lay down a base of the "groundcoat" spray. It produces a nice anodized-looking finish.

I have a few cans. They were on Clearance at auto zone I think. One of the parts places had then at like 4 or 5 bucks off a can I went to several to get the last 1 or 2 cans left on each stores shelves.

Follow the directions on the cans. You'll need the BASE coat as well.

As suggested, watch the vids on dupli colors website and look on youtube for spray can painting, you'll find plenty.

Greybeard turned me onto this color 2 years ago, so kudos to him for Sharing the info.

Holding up pretty well on the Brakes, could use a rediong because of some chips after almost 2 years on.

Post pics when your done.

After the base or "Ground" coat as they call it, the more Lite coats of the Purple you use the Darker it gets.

Depending on what your painting, clear coat it. I believe the Purple has clear in it, but a few coats of Clear added won't hurt.

Good Luck

Cool stuff! News to me as well. That Magenta must be an acquired taste, but the idea is very much from me.
