I bought a couple mirror covers off the forum to experiment with. I wanted to get rid of some of the bling lof the chrome covers, but didn't want the mirrors to be all red.
I masked off a chrome strip on the cover and after I painted them, I put a black tape stripe on then to cover the transition line. I'm trying to keep the mods balanced out appearance wise--Black/Red and minimal bling.
I had a guy ask me the other day if it was a special edition HRR--I couldn't resist, and told him it was a Speedwagen Edition, he said OH!

I did the paint with rattle cans from duplicolor, and was having a hard time getting them to buff up to a shine, and was about to take them to the body shop to spray.
Then I saw a jar of metal polish on the bench, and thought I would give it a try on the paint...worked like a charm, the gloss matches the rest of the paint.
