I'm never offended and always have taken fair criticitism. (i cant spell)
I have been customizing show cars since i was 18 and i'm 51,
i just don't look it, and everything upgrade i'm going to do isn't for everyone
i understand that i'm just looking for an HHR Showcar that's clean and all
the parts flow together and my 12 first place trophies and 5 sponsors
so far at large Scale Car Shows HIN, DUB, ect.. not park shows,
tend to prove what i am doing
seems to be in the right direction.
just my 2 cents...

I don't think that'd work on certain colors but it is "catchy" with it being white and breaking up the window. Definatly different.

to each their own, i suppose. i just think that accenting a rubber strip in the middle of a window does nothing for the look of the car except to highlight that the manufacturer used a piece of rubber there. what's the point? it just adds a hard line in what was an otherwise smooth portion of the car.

add to that what appears to be overspray on the bottom right of your handle, and it comes across as 'hey, look at me i like to spray everything body color because its cooool!'

now you claim youve won a dozen national shows and that may be true. but i still feel that painting a piece of rubber molding body color to make it stand out for no reason is still a rookie mistake, even if you are not a rookie to cars.

but hey...no hard feelings either way. like i said, to each his own. if you like it then have fun with it.

Cool Just to clarify...

First off That wasn't just a rubber strip that i painted white, with a paint can!
If you read the title it was a piece of fake chrome that came with the chrome package from the dealer slapped on.
That i had in a body shop scuff, base Coat to match & clear coat the pieces once removed.
I did this with all the fake chrome parts like the door handles and the mirror caps all removed and painted.
So i don't know where you saw overspray bad camera angle maybe because there is none! All the pieces i have painted have been added on with 3m tape so there could be no chance of overspray what so ever.
that's all i'm done venting, just wanted to clarify a few things.

PS:it actually does look good i'm very happy with the final results.
Before Paint & install.
