I don't know how well this paint will stick but I tried it anyway. I can always buy a new grill. Sanded, primed, painted, clear coated. I plan on getting the black housing depo headlights to go with it. For now I just think it looks silly with the stock head lights.

(What do y'all think of doing the opposite of this, hot rod red grille on a black HHR? (Thinking old school '50's rod). Or just painting the nickel-silver grille gloss back to match the car.)

 

Looks spiffy! The only thing I'd do is maybe outline the Bow-Tie with a red pinstripe.
