gloss will clean up easier but show any rock chips or scratches , matte black would look cool though. I vote gloss black

Black is usually a good choice . Try and photo shop a pic of your HHR with your color choice's, easier then repainting :), If no photo shop program print a few pics of your HHR and use colored marker's ! Just this old fart's 2 cent's :)

I put carbon fiber vinyl on mine, but you can get the vinyl in all kinds of colors and special effects...might be worth considering

I vote for matte black, or take speedwagen's route with a matte or carbon fiber look vinyl.

If you used regular clear, your matte black is now gloss blk..

Either way Black is a good contrast color on white vehicles..

Yeah i Know but without clear it wouldn't hold up a week the roads in cali are allway's being torn up and fixed and it kills me when i have to go threw them and there being recently paved. had to clear to give it a little protective coverings.

I was so unhappy with those two places on my car. You showed me an affordable fix. I was feeling a little ashamed about my car, and also why I didn't notice it when I bought my HHR. I was thinking maybe I shouldn't go to HHR Nationals this summer with my car looking that way. I'm going to get mudflaps too and put both on at the same time.
