Tail light modification
I would like to modify the tail lights of my 2010 HHR LT so I have yellow turn signals that operate independently of the brake lights. Any suggestions?
|
First thing I would do is see if that's even legal in your state. I think most states won't allow a change of the cars original light colors.
|
Turn signal and brake light use the same filament and wire so the brakes light would also be yellow along with your turn signals, so this would be prohibitive of your plans

Rewire the back up lights and add a euro back up. Like the euro conversions do.

Welcome to the site. the hhr's in Europe are converted to yellow bulb tail turn signal that take the place of the reverse lights.

And you do have to add a bumper mounted reverse light.

:welcome8: to the forum!
All good advice above. |

A car import-export company. Should fairly simple to just cut and splice wires.
Look at European car sites for how they set up American cars. Google would probably help. |
Turn signals must be red in rear and amber in front. No exceptions.
Some states won't even allow the blue dots in the brake lights. My panel has reverse lights in the bumper. https://www.chevyhhr.net/gallery/fil...ights3_002.jpg Boydie
