what headlight is this?
Hey, I've had my HHR for a couple of months now and one of the headlights went out, only problem being that they're aftermarket and I can't find a replacement online.
They're a bluish green, put out a lot of light, maybe xenon? And they only have low beams, nothing happens when highs are switched on.
The connectors are also different looking than stock.
Any help is appreciated,
Shaun

Are there connections and transformers like in these pictures??

Or do they look like these LED bulbs?

I'm thinking HID you might look at the guide in the how to pictures to revert back to stock halogen H13 bulbs.

Some one has installed HID head lamp bulbs in your car. The wires from the bulb pug into a transformer.
The factory plug should be plugged into the other end of the transformer.
You can remove the factory plug from the transformer and install a factory bulb and take it back to stock.
I'll bet that you high beams will work with the factory stuff.
If you do go back to factory you will need the bulb retainers unless there in the glove box. That style HID did not use the factory retainer.

I didn't get a chance to see where the ballast was, I only opened up wheel well with wheel turned so I couldn't really get a good look around.
So if it's say a 10,000k, are the ballasts for HIDs generic for the most part or am I going to have to find a different HID kit to get a matching light?
I do like the look of them over halogens.

Quality of ballast depends on longevity of bulb. As well as the quality of bulb. Ebay and Amazon kits are not the way to go.
Honestly, you'd be better getting a Depo headlight pair, and maybe doing a retro-fit. Morimoto projectors are up there, and make any HID kit look much better.

I don't think ballasts are generic. I would get the name and number off of the unit.
You can switch bulbs with the other side an see which one has failed
There are kits out there that will give you high and low beam also.

I didn't find anything on the lamp itself, didn't bother taking out the ballast yet maybe this weekend though.
I'm thinking of going with an LED kit because that's what I have on my Ty an I'm happy with it. Has anyone tried the Philips led kit for h13? It's around $160
