For those who don't have vanity mirror lights... What did yopu use to light the mirrors up?

I had a few ideas, but nothing yet..

I was under the impression no one has the vanity lights, I dont think they were offered on the HHR, but then again I could be wrong.

They aren't offered for the HHR, and I haven't seen a viable way of getting them since there is no harness in the roof for them. I too am interested in seeing if anyone has come up with a solution.

Or maybe solar panels on the roof since we're all going green now!

The ABSOLUTE last thing I need is to see my mug more clearly in a mirror!! And I know why Mother Nature "dims" our vision as we age!!

vanity mirror lights are something that would be nice to have.

Sorry to thread Jack, on the subject of things we don't have, a question for ChevyMgr.

What's up with us not having heated side mirrors. I have a 2LT with almost every option, and I don't see why it's not an option. My wife mentioned it (half making fun of me) because her Aveo, a car that was 10k less, has heated side mirrors... I had them on my Jimmy and will miss them this winter for sure...

It's not so much the driver's side that needs one as it is the passenger's!

The reason there are no vanity lights, heated mirrors, automatic air conditioning and other goodies is cost. They have tried to keep the cost of cobalts and HHRs around the 20K area to be competitive with other brands of similar size.

I'm working on a heated mirror retrofit for my HHR. I already have the aftermarket heating elements and replacement factory mirrors they will go on (so I can use the existing mirrors while I work on it). I just need to wire them into the rear defogger circuit. I will post a how-to when I am done.
