I just don't get out the Aveo, a sub-15k vehicle can have it but the HHR can't. That just makes 0 sense to me. It'll be one of the things i miss the most this winter since we get some snow here and then i go up to michigan a lot.

I am working on some side lights for the mirror I plan on using 12V lights from doll house lights and hard wiring into the car. I am just having some mounting issues and how to run the wire. Just a matter of time.

I was hoping someone had actually completed this. I too have the same need...well actually it's the 13 year old daughter...
My thoughts would be to use led's, a micro switch and a 3v coin cell.

There is a 12v source under the headliner near the rear-view mirror and the LED "always on" light. I've got a sunroof, so maybe it's only a part of that, but you can tap into that live wire and get your power from it. Would be fairly easy to run wires under the headliner.

The thing that I dont get is there are little side pockets for them. To me this means Chevy has a vehicle that has these visors in it that has the lights in it. The problem is finding out which vehicle has them. After that, just buy the new visors and run the wires to a 12v source behind the head liner.

considering Steve posted that over a year ago, I doubt the how to on the heated mirrors is coming.
