I had some scraps of carbon fiber vinyl wrap left over from some exterior work,and it found it's way onto my shifter.

Now I need to obsess on getting a shifter with a leather boot!
(after I get over my fixation on getting a train horn installed)

They are out there. I installed one last weekend that I picked up at a local salvage yard for $40. Great shape too and relatively easy to install.
