door panel

hey everyone, i had a gentleman come into my shop friday with a 2010 chevy hhr . he asked me if you can paint the door panel where the window switch is. basically he dont want to paint the window switch bezel.just the door panel were the window switch is. i hope that makes sense . he also asked me were he can go to get it painted (body shop? ) thanks

Painting interior panels is not too much different from painting flexible exterior panels like bumper covers. You need to use the proper materials, and surface prep is super important, especially because vinyl dressings like Armor All might have been used...and they have to be carefully removed or the paint will never stick or cure properly.

depending on what color he wants, that Krylon "fusion" paint is supposed to be specifically for paint plastic parts. Only requires a little prep work.

Krylon Fusion works great. but as stated, you gotta go through the process to get the waxes and treatments out of interior panels. ArmorAll really is evil.
