Finally installed dash kit and then removed ten minutes later

The picture is a little fuzzy but it looks close to the look I might try to get. I was also thinking brushed aluminum. How many pieces did your kit include, I don't see anything on the vents.

No vent pieces it was 22 pieces total 3 go around the instrument cluster 2 go around the speaker locations by windshield and 1 each surround the place you grab to close the doors I didnt install any of those cus they were hidiously mishaped and looked horrible

I've got the brushed in one of our HHRs and it looks great. BUT, it is the grey/dark grey interior. I've seen the black burlwood kit in a black interior and it looked amazing. One tip, make sure you get one offered with "bezeled" edges.

yeah i was going with the brushed allum kit but put it aside for other upgrades... maybe in the future.

It really depends on the kit you have. I've installed two and seen many others that looked and fit great. Of course there a few problem areas: the trim for the stip across the middle of the doors doesn't wrap all the way around and some have had issues getting the sterring wheels pieces stay on. Mine are 4+ years old and still going strong. Now on my custom HHR, I've also painted a great deal of the interior. I really this that painted is the best way to go, but kits are still a great option.
