what is the best floor mat to get? my HHR doesnt have any for the front and second seats but does have one for the cargo area

Especially if you want to keep the dirt, grime, snow or whatever IN the mat and not on the carpet. Get full sized molded mats.

This is a stock set of front mats compared to the set of front Husky Liners I put in mine.

 

I favor WeatherTech mats. They fit perfectly and really do the job. I once dumped a 44oz drink+ice on the driver side floor and except for minor splashes the WeatherTech got it all and I was able to dump it out without making a major mess in my HHR.

 

i bought some on ebay that are universal fit and they say motor trend on them. they fit great and have the raised edge to catch spills

 

I also have the WeatherTech. The fronts are great, the rears do not stay in place at all if anybody sits in the back seats. I doubt that any brand would. If I had it to do over, I would not spend the money on the rears.
