Question How to install LED door handles???

I just bought an LED door handle kit from eBay. They just arrived yet there is not a single hint on how to install them. Has anyone done this yet? They are 12V LEDS with a small wire that splits in two. A red and a black wire. Any suggestions?

well obviously the two wires are going to have to go through the door and somehow get them to the fuse box in the passager side. but installing the doorhandles itself i cant help with that.

What are you having a problem with? The LEDs should be on a self adhesive panel correct? Stick it to the underside of your door handle and feed your wires through where the handle meets the door. Then you just wire it like any other LED or neon light. Aren't you worried about LED door handles looking weird on the HHR? Normally you only do LED door handles on cars where the handle forms a pocket in the door so you can hide the led panel and wiring. Because of the HHR’s handle design the LED panel and wiring is going to be totally exposed and visible. I also think the wires will be in the way and end up fraying and breaking quickly but thats just personal opinion not fact. I thought about LED handles on my HHR but the whole visibility and exposure issue turned me off to the idea.

Oh crap. You guys are right. It will not look right on a HHR. I jumped the gun on this one. Now I have 4 red leds that I need to do something with. Can't blame me, I just got my HHR. I'm still excited! Oh well...

LEDS. I put LED tail lights in Harvey and I am having a real problem keeping them dry. I have used silicon on the three sets that I have installed and I am waiting for the dry weather before I put another set in. It seems that no matter what I do water still gets in and the they work sometimes and then they don't.

See ya down the road
